Marie Curie is the world famous scientist. She made great contributions to the world’s science. Today, we will learn about her life and her research. I. Pre- reading Vocabulary: Brilliant (adj): thông minh, nổi bật Mature (adj) : trưởng thành Harbour (v): nảy sinh, nuôi dưỡng Tutor (n) :gia sư Tragic (adj): bi thảm Atomic(adj): thuộc nguyên tử Checking vocabulary: rub out and remember II. While- reading Activity 1 : Matching ( task 1- textbook) - Ask Ss to guess the answers before reading the passage - Work in pairs - Check their guess - Give the correct answers Answer: 1. c 2. e 3. a 4. d 5. b Activity 2: True or False statements - Ask Ss to read the passages again - Work in pairs - Go around to help them . - Check and ask them to explain the answers - Give the feedbacks Answer: 1.
