1.1. The present perfect tense (thì hiện tại hoàn thành)

a.1. Form

• Thì hiện tại hoàn thành đc thành lập của trợ động từ Have và quá khứ phân từ (past participle) của động từ chính.

S + has/have + p.p(past participle)

• I like this film. I have seen it many times.

a.2. Use

Thì hiện tại hoàn thành dùng xác định để diễn tả

• Hàng động xảy ra trong wá khứ không xác định thời gian
  • I have meet that man but I can't remember his name.
• Hành động vừa xảy ra: với phó từ just (mới vừa), lately, recently (mới đây)
  • He has just gone out.
• Hành động lặp lại hay thói quen với các phó từ always, often, frequently và các nhóm từ three/ four/several times.
  • She has always worked hard.
• Mối liên hệ của quá khứ với hiện tại bằng các nhóm từ phó từ như: before, so far, up till now, up to the present, ever (trong câu hỏi), not... ever/ never, yet, not... yet, already..
  • Lan hasn't appeared on TV before.
• Hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ còn tiếp tục đến hiện tại với since và for.

Ex: We have lived in HCM city for 10 years.

* Since + điểm thời gian : từ...

Ex: We have lived in HCM city since 1994.

1.2. To show similarity and differentce (diễn tả sự tuơng đồng và khác biệt)

b.1. So sánh bằng tính từ và giới từ

• Câu xác định

S + verd + as + adj/ adv + as + Noun.

• Tom is 8 years old.Mary is 8 years old.

=> Tom is as old as Mary.

• Câu phủ định

S + V(not) + so/as + adj/adv + as + N.

• He doesn't swim as/ so well as his brother.

b.2. Structures with like (giống); the same as (tương tự); different from (khác với)

• Tom looks like his father.
• Her dress is the same as mine.
• No, her dress is different from mine.Here is blue, mine is dark blue.
