What Happened To Unscreen?

When did Unscreen shut down?

Unscreen officially shut down on December 1, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. Central European Time (CET).

Will I be able to use it again?

No, Unscreen was shut down permanently.

What happened to my uploaded video files?

We automatically delete all videos 30 days after processing. If you'd like to download a video you processed within the past 30 days, please contact our support team.

Is there an alternative?

Yes, we recommend Canva's video editor. It supports background removal and also includes AI-powered tools like text-to-video, auto animations, voice enhancement, and smart format switching — all in one streamlined platform.

What happens to my existing subscription?

All Unscreen subscriptions have been cancelled. Each subscription remained fully usable until its individual expiry date.

Any unused minutes or credits expired along with the subscription and can no longer be used.

What about my user data?

All user data will be deleted or anonymized after the service ends in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

What happened to the Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro plugins?

All plugins have been removed from the app stores and you won't be able to process any videos through plugins anymore.
