Trigen T Hey guys im trying to get the alternator out of my v50 1.6D 2008 model but none of the available videos or posts i've found seem to work with this car. I need to get the intakes off and get access to the alternator so i can undo it and get this thing out. Ive removed some screws on top and one under (see bottom pic mark with red) but it still seems quite stuck on there. Lets just say its crappy enough to have to work in -7C without battling these issues. Imagine if they designed with easy access in mind. Hope some of you can help me out! You need to remove accessory belt and tensioner.

#4 · Dec 5, 2021 Cheers. You made my day a whole lot easier! Really appreciate it! 0 Reply #5 · Dec 5, 2021 (Edited) Finally got this off. Sometimes i wonder if the car designers sit down and ask. How can we make this as difficult as possible? (Anti consumer repair design really) That last turn twice bolt was almost impossible to get to and almost impossible to insert the 16 spanner. First you had to force the whole thing down to get any sort of access using big lever too. Must have spent 2 hours on this one thing so it was no way its going back in. 3 bolts will have to do. Need a spanner with a rattchet really Insert Quotes Post Reply
