The Vice President can stamp the name of the candidate. It is being said that during the meeting itself, BJP leaders will discuss over the phone with the leaders of the constituent parties involved in the NDA and after that the name of the NDA candidate for the Vice Presidential election can be announced today.

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, who recently resigned from the Ministry of Minority Welfare, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan are also being named. In this sequence, the name of West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar is also discussed. The election for the post of Vice President is to be held on 6 August. The last date for nomination in this is July 19. In such a situation, it is expected that today a final decision can be taken regarding the Vice Presidential candidate.
