Saronville NEThey are bringing us a T7040 tomorrow to demo on the baler, pretty well loaded up, way cheaper than deere or CIH puma, if we like it we are going to go ahead and lease/purchase it. So what are the dislikes and likes of this tractor? Fuel usage? HYD capacity? It is replacing a 2wd 4650 that took the trip on us earlier this summer, few less ponies, but betting it will do everything that tractor would and more. Looking for comments and suggestions. TIA

Adrian MIWe got a T7040 last January and love it so far after 500 hours. Its got a big roomy cab, with a buddy seat, plenty of power, rides good and lots of hydraulic capacity for what we need. Haven't measured fuel usage, but seems to compare to our other tractors. Auto-shift is nice for roading and the power boost kicks in when running the PTO or in gear 16 or higher. Electric adjusting mirrors are nice but know how long the will still work. Only problem thus far was a tiny hole in a steel line under the cab that had to be replaced. We like our New Holland tractors, one reason because they cost less, but it helps to have a good dealer to stand behind them. Swift Current SK Canwe have had ours since December have put350hrs on doing all sorts of things from picking rocks to haying to feeding cows. A few minor electrical problems with sensors and such. It is a really nice tractor to drive cab suspension is nice and 25mph road speed is great.
