Vikings: Was Rollo the father of the real Bjorn Ironside?
Margrethe managed to persuade Ivar not to kill her as the Gods would consider him a coward.
Unable to keep the secret, Margrethe told Ivar's brothers of what really happened and his death threat.
Soon the news of Ivar's inability to have sex reached everyone, and he became vengeful.
Ivar approached Margrethe in the middle of the night and told her he found out about her revealing his secret.
Later in the series, Ubbe married Margrethe, and she became a shared lover between Ubbe and Hvitserk.

She survived through to season five, but her desire to gain more power ended up driving her mad.
She threatened to kill Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig), saying Ubbe should be the rightful King of Kattegat.
Ubbe ended up falling out with her and he had an affair with Torvi (Georgia Hirst) which made Margrethe even angrier.
Ivar told Hvitserk she has become possessed by evil, but Hvitserk was adamant he wanted to help her.
He had seen a vision of Margrethe stabbing him, and he told Hvitserk she needed to be dealt with as she was a threat.

She tried to run away from them but a knife is thrown into her back, followed by another knife in her chest. The third man killed her by cutting her throat.
Actress Nielsen shared a video of herself joking about how her character had been dead for two years.
She said: "I have actually been dead for two years now. Yeah, it is two years ago since I filmed that scene and I have been keeping this huge secret, and it feels so nice that you know now.
"I am very sad that Margrethe had such a tragic death that was not her wish. But it was good, she’ll be fine, she will be fine where ever she is now."
