Vikings Season 6: Who Is Alicia Agneson And Who Does She Play?

Vikings is back for the final episodes and all eyes are on Alicia Agneson, whose new character promises to be a gamechanger for Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen).

But as all Vikings fans know, this isn’t the first time that she’s appeared on the show, with her reappearance definitely marking a strange time in Ivar’s life.

So, for those of you catching up ahead of season six’s final episodes, we’ve got the need to know info here.

Here’s what you need to know about Alicia’s real life, as well as her her life as Princess Katia and Freydis.

Who is Alicia Agneson?

Alicia Agneson, 24, is a actor of Swedish origin, and starred in local theatre in her hometown before moving to London aged 15 in order to pursue her career.

She has since appeared in shows including the highly-acclaimed Homeland and Little Kingdom.

Alicia also works as a model, and has recently launched her own diamond collection in Sweden in collaboration with Stockholm brand, Lark and Berry.

Next year, she is due to join a new Swedish drama series called Clark, starring opposite Bill Skarsgård in a story about a convicted drug trafficker and bank robber who is reflecting on his life.

Freydis was a slave who was first introduced in season five, when she was brought to Ivar as a sacrifice to the Gods as a slave.

However, her fearless attitude towards him and her stroking of his ego made Ivar fall in love with her, and she was released, becoming his wife instead.

After he refuses to have sex with her (fearing he is ‘boneless’ and unable to perform in bed), Freydis drinks his blood and sleeps with one of his servants in order to produce an heir.

However, when the baby is born with a deformity, Ivar allows the child to be killed, and she turns against him.

Joining forces with Bjorn, Harald and Hvitserk in their attempt at overthrowing the vile king, but eventually confesses what she did to Ivar.

Furious and heartbroken, Ivar strangles Freydis to death, leaving his brothers to discover her body, next to the remains of her son.

Who is Princess Katia in Vikings season 6?

Princess Katia is a Russian monarch who we first meet in Kiev.

However, her presence immediately startles Ivar, as she is the complete mirror image of Freydis.

In fact, they’re so alike he was convinced that she had somehow survived his attack.

Little is known about her – for now at least – except that she has married Prince Oleg. But we do know that Ivar is now curious as to how the Princess is so like his fallen queen.
