RESUMEN

En la hepatitis crnica se acepta como la causa ms comn la infeccin del virus de la hepatitis C (vhc), adquirido por va parenteral o sexual. El padecimiento puede adems estar acompaado de mltiples manifestaciones extrahepticas, entre las que destacan las relacionadas con piel, rgano importante, pues puede ser la va de entrada del virus y uno de los sitios de la replicacin viral, o bien el sitio en que se presenten diversas manifestaciones clnicas ante la presencia del vhc.
