Volunteering With Children With Special Needs In Valencia

The volunteer program with children with social needs in Valencia (Spain) will give you the opportunity to help these children improve their social and intellectual skills through activities that offer both individual and group support.  We also encourage the creation of membership groups.

The Organization’s main gol is to help these people achieve personal autonomy and have a normal and independent life. We work on enhancing their skills and abilities and support them through job training and leisure activities.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM WITH CHILDREN

Many children and young people need love, affection and the support from someone who understands them. Through the volunteer program with children with special needs in Valencia (Spain) you will take part in activities that focus on the needs of these children and young people.

WHAT WILL I DO IN THE VOLUNTEERING WITH CHILDREN IN VALENCIA?

Some of the activities that are carried out in the program are:

• Assisting in training workshops.
• Attending social skills workshop with young people.
• Participating in the practicing of petanque that takes place on Thursdays.
• Supporting cooking workshops.
• Taking part in leisure and free time activities.
• Helping with the organization of domestic tasks for the young people in the supervised apartment.
• Preparing breakfast and dinner with the children.
• Helping with administration depending on the needs of the center.

It’s important that the volunteers have an intermediate level of Spanish and present a criminal record certificate.

WHEN CAN I COLLABORATE IN VOLUNTEERING WITH CHILDREN?

The project is open from Monday to Friday, from around 10:00 am to 08:00 pm .  Your exact working schedule will depend on the center and the activities scheduled for the day.  Your main role will be helping in different workshops and classes that take place during the day. 

You will also have enough free time to travel and explore everything that Valencia has to offer.

The centre is closed in the months of April, July and August.

CONTRIBUTION TO THE PROGRAM WITH CHILDREN?

The cost of the Volunteer program with children with special needs in Valencia is divided into two parts.  First a deposit of €150 needs to be paid. Then no later than one month before the start of the program, the rest of the program fee is paid. Each additional week costs €155.
