Nano007 N Hello Guys, I have purchased VW Golf GT MK5 Automatic 1.4 TSI (2003-2009)last year and since then I am experiencing trouble after trouble. I bought it from the local dealer when it was 60K on the clock. Faulty turbo/Oil Sump/Brakes/engine oil leak/Battery to mention some. Everything is fixed now and its Engine management light showing up since last 2-3 months. Been to 2-3 garages done the diagnostics they gave me their own versions of the problem like faulty sensors etc and its still not resolved. Spent around 7k so far including the car cost and scared now to take it to VW they may end up taking even more money now. Please can some one help me in identifying the root cause if someone had a similar issues in the past. #1 · Dec 16, 2019 Hello Guys, I have purchased VW Golf GT MK5 Automatic 1.4 TSI (2003-2009)last year and since then I am experiencing trouble after trouble. Did they give you any codes of the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk #3 · Dec 16, 2019 Thank you for the response. one of the garage guy said its a lambda sensor issue since fuel coming out is too rich etc, another guy said since timing chain belt is also on the verge of going the engine vibrating a lot and hence one of the sensor near the engine itself is losing contact. No one has given me exact fault codes they just run diagnostics, removes the fault code and ask me to monitor but soon the light comes in again. Also since then the mileage has gone down drastically like a full tank run only for less than 280 miles :-( #4 · Dec 16, 2019 My advice is take it to a VW garage pay for the diagnostic report as that will explain all the fault codes and what they mean.. To say your belt is vibrating is a crock of **** excuse my French never herd of that if your timing belt was vibrating you would know about it.. sometimes you have to spend to find out the problem but at least you will know what is wrong Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk #5 · Dec 16, 2019 Appreciate your responses Dang...I think I need to go to VW's for exact diagnostics to know the root cause.
