I currently have a Dodge Grand Caravan. If I can get a Buzz that tows ~3500lb and has a functional interior at a reasonable price I won't care too much about how it looks on the outside. This is what hoping for:
  • I want the wheels pushed close to the corners (like the buzz looks to be)
  • low center of gravity and seating position to improve diving dynamics
  • exceptional utilization of the extra space saved over ICE like the ID4 does
  • a bit shorter in length while maintaining overall space
In conclusion I already own an ugly mini van. I wouldn't mind owning another ugly mini van if it can do everything my current mini van already does but better. At a price under the F150 Lightning Extended range. #5 · Jan 14, 2022

The battery pack should take care of these two items for you. Certainly a lower CoG due to the mass of the batteries. And I'd expect that the dimensions of the battery pack mean the wheelbase is longer, pushing the wheels to the corners. Nothing like the concept, everything like the boring rebadged Chrysler they used to sell in the US #8 · Jan 16, 2022

I wonder why they are testing it in my country? Perhaps the steep elevations and windy mountain roads? Or the smeltering temperatures? Or the arctic freeze during winter? On a serious note, it is interesting they are testing it in a flat (!) country with a temperate climate with no temperature extremes - then again, maybe they were hungry for some Danish... #10 · Jan 17, 2022

I live close to the Bentley factory and know a load of people who work there. Often they just want miles on the test rig cars. Employees who work on the line get a camouflaged car and a fuel card and are instructed to put 1500 miles on it by Monday. Some guy probably used it to visit his girlfriend/grandmother. Haha cool to see my tweet making it into the forums. #15 · Jan 19, 2022 Am I the only one who is endlessly amused by prototype camouflage? VW goes to the trouble of hand-cutting vinyl to exaggerate the headlights, create a phony grill and cover up the VW logo . . . then they tape a sign to the door, identifying the vehicle as an electric VW. #16 · Jan 19, 2022 It does seem like an unnecessary amount of work, when some other manufacturers simply slabs on anything they find in the trash, it seems. 1 Reply #18 · Jan 19, 2022 Part of it is real camo/testing. Part of it is teasing, generating “buzz” :p Insert Quotes Post Reply
