Volkswagen Polo is a German Brand produced by Volkswagen India. To me, Its hot high performance Hatchback available in the Indian Car Market. And I remember how did I purchased or decided to purchase Polo in the year 2011. I wanted a car with the Budget of 5-6.25 Lac price tag. I started with Swift, Figo, Liva & i20 but somewhere I was not fully satisfied after the test drives from all these cars. These all cars are having own specilities and costing and some might have good features as per cost and value. i was feeling ok ok with Liva But still i wanted a tough car which can make me feel ride best or out of box performance. I finally called Volkswagen at Uttrakhand (Haldwani showroom) sales guy and asked them to come for test drive. They schedule the test drive and came very late due to an road accident they were delayed. So i thought this is their loosing point, i saw the car was demaged from the rear window and frong driver side, rest all was ok. i asked them shall i take a test drive with this demage car. They said YES!. i said ok let me try then. i took test drive and i felt the Engine of this car and the quality of Body was just upto my expectations. Then i drove it upto 3-4km and returned back and suddenly the sales guys opened driver window and started climbing on the plastic part of window and said this car parts quality and safety can be measured on this level that somone can put 50-100kg weight on the plastic material of doors. i was amazed and i said yes i want this car. It was the real time decision because of its cool features like Different Gear system from Indian pattern cars, very high quality body, high quality plastic parts & Engine pickup & performance. So this was all about the performance & Body, Quality & looks. i am happy VW Polo owner since 2011. Hope it can help others to judge and select the best and safe cars in India. Volkswagen Polo Price ranges from Rs. 5.56 to 9.16 lakh in India. The Polo is a compact car, with a traditional transversely mounted engine & Full body is tough. Most models use disc brakes at the front and rear drum brakes, car is available with either six speed manual or five speed automatic transmission system. In India Polo comes with Trendline, Comfortline, Highline & its best safe car to ride on Indian Roads. It comes with multiple varients in India and in both petrol or Diesel variants. I have seen this car running in MotoSports and highely appreciated by the owners. Cost of the car is little high due to its quality and performance but its very easily accepatable who loves car driving or who is curious about high end technology or German technology. Somehow Indian Roads and Parts cost makes a challange to survive in India but I personally believe its best car in this segment. Thanks.

First Steering stud failure for which I had to visit 3 times to dealer. Now there is a brake noise issue and it's been 5 times car went to showroom but no solution. The diesel engine delivers power as you start pushing the gas pedal. The design language feels sort of old but can still compete with today's other hot hatches. The only downside I feel is about maintenance and the ground clearance of the car. Even though I don't drive rashly it still touches many of the times while driving. The car feels extremely peppy driving on the highway. Polo offers the right to command on steering wheel, cornering feels extremely confident, unlike Suzuki Swift, Baleno. The only thing I want to suggest Volkswagen is to get the facelift which is already available in other countries which will make Polo a great package altogether.Read More 1
