greasy_benz G Ive updated the 87 to the 95 looK. What im trying to decide on is what type of grill i should put on the new hood. My choices were, OEM grill but blacked out, advantgarde, or the AMG big star in the middle of the grill look. I did a photo chop with paint, so its looks kinda cheesy but im trying to get an idea of what it will look like and if it will be tasteful or ugly looking.

#3 · Dec 18, 2006 looks nice, where can i get such a grill? #4 · Dec 18, 2006 hey man have i got the grill for you give me a few hours (at work ) ill post my custom grille, i found an aftermarket amg replica with the star not being supplied and then i custom laser cut a 3/16" ss mirror finish plate, and backed with a s.s perforated sheet, a little basic design still looks great to me , has a real shine to the steel , spray with a little wd 40 keeps the oxidation down over time will have to be repolished but not replaced, also to remove this badge they will probably have to break the whole damn grill. ill post pics later today . see my avatar **** #5 · Dec 18, 2006

Agreed. Please please please, after all the work and money you put into the conversion, DO NOT put that hideous mid-80's oversized emblem in the center of your grille. #8 · Dec 20, 2006 I recommend the quality of the Performance Products grille - it's more expensive, but worth it. #9 · Dec 20, 2006 thanks guys, but i think im going to go with the oem grill painted the same color as the car.
