Pada jurnal ini akan membahas proses pengalokasian sumber daya pada sistem Visible Light Communication (VLC) untuk meningkatkan kualitas sistem. Pengujian pada jurnal ini akan berfokus pada pengalokasian sumber daya berupa time slots menggunakan algoritma MeanGreedy pada User Equipment (UE) yang akan dilakukan penyebaran secara acak dalam ruangan dengan ukuran 5 x 5 x 3 meter terdapat jumlah UE dari 5 hingga 17 UE. Parameter pengujian berupa Data Rate, Energy Efficiency dan Fairness. Pada hasil pengujian total Data Rate terhadap jumlah UE memiliki kenaikan dengan algoritma Mean-Greedy. Pada konsumsi daya penggunaan algoritma Mean-Greedy hemat 5.8% untuk target 960 Mbps pada penggunaan 6.6 Watt. Kemudian pada hasil pengujian nilai fairness sistem dipengaruhi oleh jumlah UE, Nilai fairness tertinggi diperoleh pada saat 5 UE dengan nilai sebesar 0.79 dan terdapat jumlah fairness terendah diperoleh pada saat 17 UE dengan nilai sebesar 0.233 dengan bertambahnya jumlah UE nilai total Data...

Jarak pengendalian yang sangat jauh, target/aktuator yang sulit dijangkau, serta pembangunan jaringan pengendali yang sulit dan mahal, menjadi beberapa masalah dalam sistem pengendalian jarak jauh. Contohnya adalah dalam pengendalian komputer-komputer pada papan iklan digital/digital signage yang kerap disimpan di tempat-tempat yang sulit dijangkau, seperti di atas jembatan penyebrangan, di persimpangan jalan, dan sebagainya. Perusahaan pengelola kerap melakukan penonaktifan alat guna menghemat energi, namun belum ada alat yang memadai untuk mengendalikannya. Oleh karena itu, pengendalian dengan menggunakan jaringan telepon baik kabel maupun selular menjadi solusi yang tepat. Selain lingkup kendali yang sangat luas, telepon juga sangat mudah dioperasikan. Rangkaian aplikasi yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini menggunakan dual tone multi frequency yang dibangkitkan melalui penekanan tombol telepon yang dijadikan data input pengendali mikrokontroller. Data frequency diubah menjadi data digital, lalu data tersebut dijadikan input pengendali mikrokontroller. Mikrokontroller kemudian mengendalikan komputer melalui relay dan port serial. Hasil percobaan menunjukan bahwa aplikasi yang dikembangkan ini mampu mematikan dan menghidupkan komputer serta perangkat lunak aplikasi pada komputer dari jarak jauh. Kata kunci : dual tone multi frequency, tele-control, kendali dengan phone.

Abstract—This paper describes design of the Wavelength Di-vision Multiplexing (WDM) transmission system using Alien Wavelength channels for medical data exchange. Internet infrastructures in most places of the world have been supported by the advancement of optical fiber technology, most notably wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) system. Optical technology by means of WDM system has revolutionized long distance data transport and has resulted in high data capacity, cost reductions, extremely low bit error rate, and operational simplification of the overall Internet infrastructure. This paper analyses and compares the system impairments, which occur at data transmission rates of 2.5Gb/s and 10 Gb/s per wavelength channel in our proposed optical WDM system for Internet infrastructure in Tanzania. The results show that the data transmission rate of 2.5 Gb/s has minimum system impairments compared with a rate of 10 Gb/s per wavelength channel, and achieves a sufficient system performance to provide a good Internet access service.
