What Are CBG, CBC & CBDV? - A.LEAF
What Are Cannabinoids?
A cannabinoid is one of a class of over 100 diverse chemical compounds that acts on cannabinoid receptors in the body. Our brains have specific receptors designed to accept cannabinoids, known as CB1 and CB2. These receptors are responsible for the assimilation of cannabinoid molecules into the body. Every variety of the cannabis family, including hemp, produces cannabinoids. While CBD and THC are the most well-known cannabinoids, there are actually over 100 different types. The following Cannabinoids: Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabichromene (CBC), Cannabidivarin (CBVD) and Cannabidiol (CBN and CBD) are included in our products and their potency profiles can be found in our Certificates of Analysis for each A.LEAF product.
CBG
CBG has been observed to work as a buffer to THC’s psychoactivity and can even alleviate the feelings of paranoia that sometimes come with consumption of high levels of THC. CBG is thought to be one of the most expensive cannabinoids to produce, so much so that it has been dubbed “the Rolls-Royce of cannabinoids.”
CBC
In 2010, one group of researchers demonstrated that CBC’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties could be boosted when used in conjunction with THC and CBD. They found that the combination of all three compounds was more effective than the combination of THC and CBD only. CBD was also studied to encourage cell growth.
CBDV
Cannabidivarin (CBDV) is a homolog of CBD, meaning they have a similar structure. Another similarity cannabidivarin shares with CBD is the fact they’re both non-psychoactive. Studies have found that CBDV to significantly decrease seizure severity and increased latency to the first sign of seizure. There is still more research to be done in the industry on this single cannabinoid.
CBNDid you know that CBN is also a Cannabidiol? The process of creating CBN comes with time and the natural breakdown of raw hemp acids. Researchers claim that CBN is the most sedative of all cannabinoids, with efficacy that surpasses those of pharmaceuticals. Which could explain drowsiness some people feel when they take droppers.
What Are The Benefits Of Cannabinoids?
We developed A.LEAF because we realized Cannabinoids derived from the hemp plant was a solution to helping people recover from the ailments of life.
