What Safety Features Does The 2019 Mazda CX-5 Have?

The 2019 Mazda CX-5 is sleek, sophisticated and powerful. It enters the 2019 model year with a variety of updates, including a more powerful engine, a new 2.2-liter diesel engine option, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ and a variety of other new convenience features.

In addition to its long list of luxury cabin equipment, the 2019 Mazda CX-5 is also available with a variety of safety technologies. The 2019 Mazda CX-5’s safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection, a lane departure warning system, lane-keep assist, adaptive front-lighting and Mazda Radar Cruise Control with a Stop & Go function. Blind-Spot Monitoring* 

This feature uses sensors to detect when objects, and even fast-moving vehicles, enter the 2019 Mazda CX-5’s blind spot and notifies the driver with a warning light in the side mirror and a chime.  

Rear Cross Traffic Alert* 

Back up your 2019 Mazda CX-5 with confidence thanks to this handy technology. It detects vehicles moving from the side and alerts the driver with a chime and warning in either side mirror and the display screen. 

Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection** 

This available technology operates in city driving and parking lot speeds using a forward camera to detect vehicles and pedestrians ahead. In the event an impact is predicted, the system will warn the drive, adjust the brakes for firmer braking and even apply the brakes. 

Lane Departure Warning System*** 

The technology gives the driver audible and visual warnings in the event the vehicle unintentionally departs lanes at speeds over 37 mph.  

Lane-Keep Assist*** 

Drive with confidence thanks to the 2019 Mazda CX-5’s Lane-Keep Assist technology. When the system senses an unintentional lane departure it performs minor steering corrections to re-center the vehicle in its lane.  

Adaptive Front-Lighting 

The 2019 Mazda CX-5’s available adaptive front-lighting technology helps drivers navigate unfamiliar roads at night with precision. When you turn a corner the LED headlights pivot up to 15 degrees in the direction of your turn to improve visibility and spot potential road hazards in advance.  

Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go Function**** 

Set and maintain a minimum following distance from the traffic ahead with the available Mazda Radar Cruise Control technology with the Stop & Go Function. When the system is set, the technology will also reduce the vehicle’s speed and slow it down to a stop based on the traffic in front of you.
