They are all the same (330hp) Assuming you're talking about the coupe. If you have the sedan they're all 328hp. Sedan is also down 1 ft/lb of torque with 269ft/lb vs 270ft/lb. Sedan is still negligibly quicker. Any G37 (including the IPL) will all be close enough that the only real difference is the driver. People do tune this car. All the time. Take any G37, open the exhaust and adjust the tune... you'd have similar numbers. It's not magic. Certain colors are just naturally faster. Any aftermarket dual exhaust and a tune will get you to "IPL" levels. Honestly a tune will do far better than an IPL ECU and probably give you a nice midrange advantage over the factory IPL tune. It just sounds alright too. I have an IPL and have been in regular G37's before. Power pretty much feels the same.
