Wolfgang Bergmeier, Ph.D.Congratulations to Wolfgang Bergmeier, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics at UNC, for receipt of R35 from the NHLBI, which supports accomplished leaders in blood research.

NHLBIThe purpose of the NHLBI R35 Program is to promote scientific productivity and innovation by providing long-term support and increased flexibility to experienced Principal Investigators (PIs). The award will support the research program of Dr. Bergmeier for seven years, providing increased freedom to conduct research that breaks new ground or extends previous discoveries in new directions.
