In this roles she provided strategic oversight of human capital planning, talent management, total rewards, strategic DE&I strategies and culture.

Prior to her time at Baylor, Scott, & White, Nakesha served as vice president of human resources for Barclays Capital. She joined the organization as an assistant vice president of human resources from Lehman Brothers during their acquisition.

Nakesha received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Hunter College and a master in business administration in human resource management from the University of Phoenix.

Anthony Williams

Williams leads global HR strategy including workplace management, employee development, talent acquisition, inclusion and diversity and compensation and benefits across Akamai’s more than 40 offices around the world.

Williams assumed the role effective January 1, 2020, after five years with Akamai. He began his Akamai career with the task of developing a world-class global recruiting function and was the company’s first diversity and inclusion leader. He led the human resources function for Akamai’s growing populations outside of the U.S., reflecting the company’s expanded footprint.

He played an essential role in the Akamai Foundation’s transition from private funding to an official corporate philanthropic entity. He serves as its president and hired its first executive director. Further, Williams launched the company’s employee resource groups (ERGs), voluntary associations that represent the needs of Akamai’s global employee population. He also launched the Akamai Technical Academy, a training program designed for people who have an interest and aptitude for technology but may not come from a traditional technical background. The unique program empowers diverse talent with technical work-ready skills while offering opportunities for prepared graduates to become full-time employees of Akamai.

Prior to Akamai, Williams held a wide range of global human resources positions at First Data Corporation, Newell Rubbermaid, and Time Warner – Turner Broadcasting System. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Norfolk State University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Georgia, Terry College of Business.

Diane Hughes

Tawana Thomas Johnson

American Cancer Society

Tawana Thomas Johnson is our senior vice president and chief diversity officer and serves on the CEO’s executive team.

In her mission-critical role, Tawana heads up our stand-alone Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team and is ultimately responsible for leading efforts to design and implement strategies that drive diversity, equity, and inclusion to meet our mission, revenue, and talent goals.

Since joining the American Cancer Society in 2006 as director of Health Disparities for the former South Atlantic Division, Tawana has led the development of outreach tools, programs, and resources to increase awareness of the unequal burden of cancer in diverse communities, resulting in the significant increase of diverse constituents utilizing our organization’s programs and services. Among these tools is the “More Than Conquerors” documentary, which features testimonies and interviews with cancer survivors, caregivers, physicians, and renowned clergy. Tawana served as executive producer for the documentary, which received national acclaim and premiered at the National Black Film Festival.

Tawana has successfully led the American Cancer Society in increasing workforce diversity at all levels of the organization (a 17% increase in the overall hiring rate from 2017 to 2019), addressing pay parity, and significantly improving employee engagement around diversity and inclusion. Under her leadership, ACS also joined the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion movement, which brings together more than 1,600 organizations committed to driving diversity and inclusion within their organizations. Tawana’s ongoing role also includes engaging corporate executives, high-level donors, and leadership volunteers in furthering the fight against cancer through revenue generation and mission engagement.

Additionally, Tawana provides leadership for an initiative in partnership with The Links, Incorporated, and the Elevance Health Foundation that aims to recruit 500 diverse volunteers and reach an estimated 10,000 people with information about cancer prevention and early detection.

Tawana also serves in leadership capacities with several national organizations including the African Heritage Studies Association, The Links, Incorporated, and the NAACP. She also serves on several boards, including the Oprah Winfrey Network OWN Your Health advisory board.

Tomya Watt

Prior to Cargill, Steph spent more than 15 years with Target [NYSE: TGT], a Fortune 30 company and one of the world’s most recognizable brands. She held a variety of roles in HR, as well as the company’s transformation office, before becoming a member of their Executive Team as CHRO, supporting a global team of more than 350,000 employees. Most recently, she served as the first-ever President of their food and beverage business.

As Independent Board Director for Sysco Foods from 2019-2022, Steph served on the Compensation and Leadership Development, Technology and Corporate Social Responsibility committees. Steph is also a member of Concordia College’s Board of Regents. She is passionate about contributing broadly within her industry and community, serving on various industry and community organizations.

Steph attended the Board Governance Executive Education Course at Harvard Business School and received her B.A. in Business and Communication from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.

Gregg Russo

Mr. Russo distinguished himself and was selected to the founding management team of Sankyo Parke-Davis, a joint-venture dedicated to promoting a novel diabetes product as the Human Resources leader. During his fourteen-year tenure, Mr. Russo participated in the growth of the company (now Daiichi Sankyo) to more than 3,000 employees and multiple product launches. Following Daiichi-Sankyo, Mr. Russo led the Human Resource function for Chugai Pharmaceuticals in the US and several start-up organizations. During his tenure with Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Russo has implemented a suite of new employee benefits and introduced new Human Resource processes and systems. Mr. Russo has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Communication from the State University of New York at Buffalo and has participated in continuing education, including at the University of Michigan.

Christy Harris

Michelle Green

Green serves on the company's executive leadership team and is responsible for the global HR organization, including all aspects of people management and advancing the company’s efforts to attract world-class talent and support its workforce by engaging the full potential of its people to deliver the future of energy.

Prior to this role, Green served as vice president for human resources, Oil, Products & Gas after the organization was formed in 2022 to combine activities of Upstream, Midstream and Downstream. Green also served as director of human resources operations for Chevron, overseeing Total Rewards, Employee and Labor Relations, the HR Shared Services organizations, and Business HR operations beginning in 2020. Prior to that assignment, she was vice president for human resources, Chevron Downstream & Chemicals.

Green joined Chevron in 1998 as an executive resources and leadership development consultant and has held various HR roles of increasing responsibility. She has served as HR advisor in Luanda, Angola, and general manager of human resources in the Asia South business unit in Bangkok, Thailand. She also held several roles in Total Rewards, including general manager of compensation and as management compensation committee secretary for the Chevron Board of Directors.

Green earned a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University Fresno in 1993, a Juris Doctorate from San Joaquin College of Law in 1997, and a master's in industrial and labor Relations from Cornell University in 1999. She is a member of the California State Bar.

Susan LaMonica is the Chief Human Resources Officer and a member of the bank's executive committee. In this role, she oversees a team of Human Resources professionals responsible for organizational development and culture, leadership and talent development, learning, inclusion, compensation and benefits and human resource operations. Susan is also responsible for the firm's Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs divisions. She has played a critical role in the successful separation of Citizens from the Royal Bank of Scotland in the largest Commercial Bank IPO in US history and has since facilitated several acquisitions as part of Citizens' growth. Most recently, acquiring a large private bank team that enabled the national launch of Citizens' Private Bank.

Susan plays a key role in the bank's transformation with a multi-year Human Capital strategy and change agenda that reimagines how work gets done and experienced. She is driving the adoption of an agile operating model and leading the deployment of programs, resources and initiatives that support a culture that prioritizes skill development and reskilling and upskilling the workforce to be future ready.

Prior to joining Citizens in 2011, Susan held senior leadership roles at JPMorganChase. She served as the head of human resources for the investment banking and markets division globally, and before that served as the head of human resources for the consumer and commercial banking division. Susan also served as global head of development for the bank, leading the firm's efforts around talent, leadership, learning, inclusion, culture, and organizational change. During her tenure she played a key role for human resources in several bank mergers. Before moving into human resources, Susan began her career with Chase Manhattan Bank, holding roles in operations, risk, and retail banking.

Susan has earned several external accolades for her work including from American Banker, BAI, and Stevie Awards Inc.

Susan is a community leader who continues to give back and make a difference in the industry and in her community. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for ProSight and serves as President of the Board for Oasis-A Haven for Women and Children. She also is on the Board of Trustees at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia and a member of the Council for Women of Boston College. Susan previously served on the Board of Directors for Enhabit (NYSE: EHAB) and served as Chair of the Compensation & Human Capital Committee.
