jojo11 J Hi, I am new to the forum so be kind!! I am looking to install an aftermarket stereo in my XC90 and despite extensive internet research cannot seem to find any complete installation instructions. I have purchased an Aerpro Volvo Wiring Harness to connect the unit to the car and have also got an Aerpro Universal ISO Harness which has now been soldered to the harness that comes with the stereo. This connects into the T-Harness. I also have the Antenna Adapter to connect the factory antenna to the new unit. I have worked out how to install the rear camera by routing the red power cable and reverse switch from the Head Unit to the reverse tail light with the Ground attached to the chassis. Where things come unstuck relates to the removal of the CD changer. From what I read, the LCD display needs to remain connected and can be tucked in behind the new facia to ensure factory functions still work but as I understand it, when I remove the CD Changer the Fibre Optic cables that go into that, will have nowhere to go and will stop the rear sensors, amp and rear controls from working. Has anyone found a solution to this? I read that you can join these together to create a new loop, without the CD changer but can't find a part to do this. Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Jo #1 · Jun 16, 2015 Hi, I am new to the forum so be kind!! There has been a few after market radios installed, there is even a post when a guy shows you how (can not remember which forum though). Basically you have to put the ICM behind where the current radio is located due to the car's security protocols. If I ever find anything I will let you know. The wiring can be pretty messy even after you figure out how to setup everything. Most good electronics stores have a service sections that can give you some quick clear advice-try phoning yours. I buy nearly everything from the Bay Bloor radio store ( http://baybloorradio.com ) nearby here in Toronto for their service and advice. Insert Quotes Post Reply
