Xiaomi Pad 5 vs Motorola Tab G70 LTE

Design

The Motorola Tab G70 LTE offers a dual-tone design in a single colour variant, with one half made of metal and the other one made of plastic. It weighs 500 grams. The Xiaomi Pad 5 has a metal frame and a glass rear, having an overall weight of 511 grams.

Display

Both tablets feature an 11-inch IPS LCD display with Quad HD+ resolution. However, the Xiaomi Pad 5 display supports DCI-P3 colours and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. It even gets a colour temperature sensor.

Performance

The Motorola Tab G70 LTE relies on a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset and is paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64Gb of uMCP storage. It comes with a stock version of Android 11 out of the box, with Motorola promising an Android 12 upgrade.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 uses a more powerful Snapdragon 860 chipset and comes as standard with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage, which can be configured with 128GB or 256GB. It runs on MIUI for Pad based on Android 11 out of the box.

Cameras

Both tablets feature a 13MP camera on the rear and an 8MP camera on the front.

Battery

The Motorola Tab G70 LTE comes with a 7700mAh battery and gets a 20W charger in the box. The Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a larger 8720mAh battery and relies on a 33W charger in the box.

Connectivity

The Motorola Tab G70 LTE supports 4G LTE networks along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. The Xiaomi Pad 5 in India comes with only Wi-Fi connectivity along with Bluetooth 5.

Accessories

The Motorola Tab G70 LTE does not come with any official accessories from Motorola and you will have to rely on third-party solutions. The Xiaomi Pad gets its own suite of accessories — a keyboard cover and a Smart Pen. Note that these accessories need to be purchased separately.

Price

The Motorola Tab G70 LTE comes in at a price of Rs. 23,999 for the single 4GB/64GB variant in India. The Xiaomi Pad 5 has an introductory price of Rs. 24,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant, which will increase to Rs. 26,999.
