Xiaoxiao Sun (孙晓晓)

About Me

I am a Ph.D. student at the Australian National University (ANU) under the supervision of Prof. Liang Zheng and Prof. Hongdong Li. Currently, I am also working as a research associate at Nanyang (NTU), under the guidance of Prof. Ying Wei. I received my M.Sc from College of Computer and Control Engineering, Nankai University (NKU) in 2018, supervised by Prof. Jufeng Yang.

My research is centered around computer vision and machine learning. My primary interest lies in analyzing the robustness of models in dynamic environments. Specifically, I focus on assessing model resilience to domain shifts, variations in visual factors, and malicious attacks. Additionally, I am interested in data-centric evaluation for CV and ML, such as exploring the properties of datasets, investigating shortcomings of the model and the dataset, and analyzing or improving model performance through control datasets. Meanwhile, I am interested in exploring the evolution of new technologies to uncover new scientific discoveries.

I am lucky to have opportunities to work with Dr. Vivek Sharma (Sony AI), Dr. Nidham Gazagnadou (Sony AI), Dr. Lingjuan Lyu (Sony AI), Prof. Ming-Ming Cheng (Nankai University), Prof. Yu-Kun Lai and Prof. Paul Rosin (Cardiff University).
