Base Game[]

Xing Cai is affiliated with the sword and shield in this title. When equipped with it, Xing Cai can perform the following unique attacks listed below.

EX Attack: : Xing Cai raises her sword and emits a green aura that buffs her attack power by 20% for 10 seconds. The effects instantly wear off upon switching weapons. Musou Attack - Shield Charge (月光突; lit. "Moonlight Collision"): : Charges forward with shield held to the front while surrounded by green bursts of energy. The attack's trajectory can be maneuvered via directional input. Alternate Musou Attack - Comet Strike (流星落; lit. "Falling Star Drop"): R1 + : Briefly charges forward. If Xingcai hits anyone close, she will send the target airborne with her shield and latch onto them with a leg lock. She then flips the victim down while descending and makes an impactful landing that damages surrounding foes. Notable Skills

• Attack Range Up: Increases attack range.
• Sword and Shield Master: Gains expertise at wielding the sword and shield.

Titles Lieutenant General (偏将軍) - Slightly increases Legend Mode rewards. Field General (安国将軍) - Marginally increases damage inflicted on enemies when using power-type weapons. River General (横江将軍) - Marginally increases attack and defense against officers when using speed-type weapons. Campaign General (討逆将軍) - Marginally absorbs health from enemies when damaging them using speed-type weapons. Front General (前将軍) - Moderately increases defense against projectile and shockwave attacks when using power-type weapons. Minister of the Interior (侍中) - Improves the quality of sword and shield power-ups dropped by enemies. General of the Guards (衛将軍) - Significantly decreases damage taken from enemies when using EX weapons. Queen (輔国大将軍) - Significantly absorbs health from enemies when damaging them using EX weapons.

• Ruler Special Command 1 - Three Visits: Convinces an officer to join by paying respects to them. Increases kind fame by 3,000 when used.

Unique Attacks EX Attack: : Serves the same function like in the base game. Musou Attack: : Xingcai performs Shield Charge as their main Musou attack with the game classifying it as a Multi-Strike type. Speed Musou Attack - Scythe: Tap Both Sides of Screen: Xingcai inflicts powerful diagonal slashes back and forth while standing in place, then emits a radial shockwave by tossing her shield around herself like a boomerang. Direct Breaks Direct Break (Default) - Shield Troop: Envelops the player within a protective barrier, inflicting damage to surrounding foes. Direct Break (Alternate) - Swordsmen: Commands a group of swordsmen to perform a joint melee assault. Direct Break (Downloadable) - Pandas: Causes a group of pandas to charge at the enemy. Stratagems Stratagem Card (Default) - Devoted Protector (次代の盾; lit. "Shield of the Next Generation"): Increases player's speed and provides immunity to damage while doing strong attacks. Stratagem Card (Alternate) - Blade of the Future (次代の剣; lit. "Sword of the Next Generation"): Increases player's attack and speed. Stratagem Card (Downloadable) - Defender of Hope (希望の守り手): Greatly increases player's defense, but greatly decreases attack in turn. Allied Stratagem: If deployed as a playable officer, Xingcai will escort the player as a bodyguard during battle. Has a chance of happening from time to time.

Shin Sangoku Musou Online Z[]

Xingcai's Shin Sangoku Musou Online Z incarnation uses a version of the sword and shield that did not get released for player avatars.

Main Attacks Charge Attack 1: Rams enemy with shield, leaving them staggered. Charge Attack 2: Sends foes airborne with an upward shield bash. Charge Attack 3: Flails sword back and forth before finishing up the attack by ramming shield forward. Charge Attack 4: Bashes enemies with shield towards the right then lands a powerful swing with sword held upward, knocking foes away from the user. Tapping again activates Xingcai's EX attack from Dynasty Warriors 7 minus the buff effect. Charge Attack 5: Performs a charge attack with shield held to the front, then propels to the air before flipping forward. Charge Attack 6: Throws shield into the air and does a two-handed swing that generates a staggering radial shockwave. Normal Attack: Delivers two overhead slashes, a shield ram, and a diagonal slash followed by an upward shield bash. The final hit is a frontal stab with shield held up. Evolution Attack: Extends the normal attack string by quickly surfing on shield for a brief moment before ending the ride by leaping up and catching shield as it falls. A watered-down version of Xingcai's second EX attack from Dynasty Warriors 8. Musou Attacks Musou Attack: Releases an energy burst that burns and dazes foes before performing Xingcai's Shield Charge Musou attack from Dynasty Warriors 7. Auxiliary Attacks Dash Attack: Tosses shield forward like a boomerang. Jump Attack: Slashes downward with sword while in the air. Jump Charge: Dives from a considerable height and smashes shield unto the ground, sending foes below to the air. Special Abilities Best Formation 1 - Parallel Formation: 5 Units, Defense Type Best Formation 2 - Snake Formation: 3 to 5 Units, Defense Type Best Formation 3 - Round Formation: 1 to 5 Units, Defense Type Support Skill - Protect (防衛): Briefly raises all allied units' defense power by 5%. Summon Skill - Recovery: Restores allies' health.

Dynasty Warriors: Overlords[]

Main Attacks Strong Attack 1 (Dash): Performs a short dash thrust, dealing 110% attack damage to foes. Its bonus effect enables the first hit to deal 44% attack damage to elite enemies while inflicting them with a debuff that increases the amount of damage they take by 18% for 8 seconds. Strong Attack 1 (Break): Rams shield to the front, inflicting 150% attack damage. Its bonus effect allows it to deal an additional 380% attack damage on hit and greatly reduces their super armor bar. The effect itself triggers every 30 seconds. Strong Attack 1 (Armor): Does a ram charge with shield before hacking enemies with round slash using own sword. Deals a total of 210% attack damage. Its bonus effect grants nearby friendly units a shield that adds a 9% bonus to their health, a 30% damage reduction, and a minor super armor effect. It lasts for 8 seconds and triggers every 40 seconds. Strong Attack 1 (Gather): Raises shield up while emitting a circular gust of wind around Xingcai that deals 160% attack damage to enemies surrounding her. Its bonus effect deals an additional 18% damage to all enemy troops within range and pulls them closer to the user. The effect itself triggers every 10 seconds. Strong Attack 2: Lands a rising swipe that impacts the ground with enough force to launch nearby foes to the air. Deals 150% attack damage. Strong Attack 3: Launches a series of criss-crossing slashes followed by a powerful shield ram, dealing 320% attack damage in total. Strong Attack 4: Does a spinning shield bash followed by a launching strike, inflicting 230% attack damage in the process. Strong Attack 5: Quickly charges forward with shield facing forward, then leaps into the air and dives down for an impacting ground strike. Deals 220% attack damage while sending enemies up into the air twice. Strong Attack 6: Throws shield up high into the air and delivers a two-handed sword swing, dealing 220% attack damage to foes before grabbing shield back as it drops down. Normal Attack 1: Slashes at foes diagonally to the lower left, dealing 80% attack damage instantly. Normal Attack 2: Swings sword horizontally at a slight angle, dealing 80% attack damage on foes. Normal Attack 3: Rams shield to push away foes and inflict 100% attack damage. Normal Attack 4: Turns around and slices upward diagonally, inflicting 120% attack damage to enemies in front. Normal Attack 5: Waves shield around to generate a hamrful energy sphere. Deals 140% attack damage. Normal Attack 6: Bends over behind shield and thrusts sword outward to release a mobile shockwave. Inflicts 170% attack damage to foes in the way. Special Attacks EX Attack: Raises sword up high and lets out a breezy aura that hits nearby foes with 100% attack damage while raising the defense of Xingcai and nearby allies by 12% for 10 seconds. Musou Attack: Performing a rendition of her Shield Charge Musou attack, Xingcai charges mercilessly at foes, dealing 880% attack damage against them. Also temporarily bestows the entire team with spiritual shields that offer them additional protection. Auxiliary Attacks Dash Attack: Spins forward and hurls shield within a short distance like a boomerang. Switch Attack: Quickly stomps the ground while surrounded by teal-colored light. Only used in certain competitive modes. Counter Attack: Dazes foes the moment they hit while blocking. Evasion: Flips to the air in order to evade enemy attacks. Horse Attacks Horse Normal Attack: Hacks sword towards the right multiple times while on horseback. Horse Kick Attack: Has horse unleash powerful kicks with its forelegs. Has a cooldown time of 8 seconds. Horse Stomp Attack: Has horse stomp the ground hard. Has a cooldown time of 6 seconds. Horse Musou Attack: Commands horse to charge forward at high speed for a short duration of time. General Tactics Iron Wall: Increases red damage in battle by 4%. Effects increase the higher Xingcai's star ranking becomes. Combat Soul Skills Heaven Combat Soul Skill: Causes normal attacks to grant Xingcai a 4% defense boost for 6 seconds with each hit. Can stack up to 5 times. Bonus increases the higher the combat soul's ranking rises. Earth Combat Soul Skill: Gains a 12% red damage boost for 10 seconds after performing Musou attack. Bonus increases the higher the combat soul's ranking rises. Human Combat Soul Skill: Increases Musou regeneration rate of nearby allies by 14% for 10 seconds after performing EX attack. Bonus increases the higher the combat soul's ranking rises. Skin Skills Suit Skill: Increases defense in battle by 4%. Ornament Skill: Increases attack in battle by 4%. Horse Skills Shouting Thunder: Causes Musou attack to grant friendly units within 10 meters a 15 second shield effect of 4.8% maximum health. Purple Sun: Increases damage dealt in battle by 10%. Team Combination Crusade Required Characters: Liu Bei, Xingcai Bonus: +1,333 Health, +106 Attack Special Skill: Gives attacks a 10% chance of summoning a lightning bolt to strike the enemy, dealing 90% attack as extra damage and inflicting electric induction on them for 6 seconds. Has a 4 second cooldown time. Family Ties Required Characters: Xiahou Yuan, Xingcai Bonus: +8,356 Health, +663 Attack Martial Radiance Required Characters: Guan Ping, Xingcai Bonus: +1,333 Health, +106 Attack Joint Skill: If paired up with Guan Ping, Xingcai will be able to perform a unique joint attack together with him. She initiates the assault by charging forward with her shield coated in electrifying energy, then launching nearby foes into the air via propelled jump while enveloped within a brief pillar of light. Upon floating in mid-air, she tosses her shield forward to produce a sphere of blue swirling energy waves eviscerating foes within. Once the sphere is sliced in half by Guan Ping, it eventually bursts as Xingcai drops down to give her partner a high five while looking away from the carnage. Warriors Orochi 3[]

Xingcai retains her weapon moveset from Dynasty Warriors 7 albeit with some changes and additions.

Changed Attacks Jump Attack: : Slashes downward with sword. Jump Charge: : Dives from a considerable height and smashes shield into the ground, colliding against nearby foes below. Team Abilities Ability 1 - Speed: Increases abilities of Speed-type warriors. Ability 2 - Recovery: Accelerates life recovery while inactive. Only available in Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate. Special Attacks Musou Attack: : Xingcai performs Shield Charge as their ground Musou attack. Counter Attack/Break Guard: Counter + L1 + : Quickly swats away an enemy's attack, causing them to stagger briefly. Assist Attack: Counter + L1 or R1: Xingcai performs the fourth charge attack to assist a teammate while surrounded within an updraft of wind for extra coverage. Grounded Type Action: R1: Surfs on shield to breach through the enemy ranks. Works well as an alternative escape move in case aerial thrusting is not feasible. Midair Type Action: R1: Rams shield forward at high-speed while in the air, ending the attack with a wide downward slash that sweeps several foes off their feet at once. Aerial Thrust: : Performs a forward flip while leaping in the air. Normal Strategy Card: Defender of Shu (蜀の守り手): Attacks the opponent with a circular slash followed by a spherical burst of green-colored energy. If it connects, the current officer will be able to enemy blows momentarily. Golden Strategy Card: Practice Makes Perfect (日々の鍛練; lit. "Daily Training"): Restores the current officer's Musou. Can be used multiple times until triggered. Team Attacks Triple Rush 1: Does a hopping strike that sends out a mobile shockwave forward. Triple Rush 2: Swings sword back and forth repeatedly while up in the air. Triple Rush 3: Performs a wide swing to unleash a massive energy wave on the ground below. Unique Triple Rush: If Xingcai is teamed up with Guo Jia and Ina, they will be able to do a unique triple rush attack together. She begins the assault by dashing forth and launching a powerful upward swing.

Fighting Style[]

Her Online Z counterpart's sword and shield attacks are fast and easy to build combos with. While they do not have much in the way of button input extensions, each charge works well for their specific function with the fourth charge being the most effective. Her Musou attack can easily mow down foes if the Musou gauge is high enough to include more motions after the initial energy burst.
