xk k110 or k120? hey guys, I've been watching some videos on you tube and I'm impressed with these little helis. I'd like to fly good 3d (not necessarily smackdown) with perfect tail control. which one should I get and why? thanks. __________________ Trex600EFLStretched-Vbar, Logo600SE-Vbar, XLPower700-Vbar, Trex150X, Futaba 14SG, VControl
Without owning a 120, it seems from what I've heard that the 110 is better for beginners because it won't break as easily, and more advanced pilots like the extra power of the 120 (and sacrificing durability). I don't know about tail control. __________________ XK K110 RTF Blade nCPS - DX6i Phoenix 5.5

I suspect any veteran 3Der who is normally flying 550 and up will find even a great little micro somewhat underwhelming. But given that, you'll find the 120 less underwhelming than the 110, as the 2S makes quite a difference in speed and collective authority. It is a bit more fragile and can get out of visual range pretty quickly, but that shouldn't be a problem for you. The main thing to watch out for is that you'll need to keep it a lot closer than you're used to with those 700s! __________________ Compass Atom 5.5; Oxy 2/3/4 XK K110 K120
Great. My main interest is having a real 3d micro heli, but keeping the repair cost low. It seems now I'm leaning towards k110 because parts are cheaper and easier to find. I also noticed these micro helis are easier to fly than big ones. The few flights I had with my v977 I could fly good 3d with little difficulty. Wonder why. Maybe some psicological factor giving me confidence and peace of mind because of the low cost in case of crash. __________________ Trex600EFLStretched-Vbar, Logo600SE-Vbar, XLPower700-Vbar, Trex150X, Futaba 14SG, VControl

I haven't found that much difference in parts price or availability, but the 110 is definitely more robust in a crash. If flying over grass, about the only thing you can really do to it is to put it in hard tail first. Even then, you may need to do that several times before you need to make a repair. I have slammed it into the deck inverted, and nose-first lawn dart more times than I can count. The 110 just shrugs it off. I would not call the 120 fragile by any means, but it's not the same tank the 110 is. (For example, the 120 tail rotor will break if you try to trim your hedge with it, but the 110 tail rotor is fine being first into the lawn; the motor mount is more likely to break than the rotor blade in that case.) __________________ Compass Atom 5.5; Oxy 2/3/4 XK K110 K120
