rys R For posterity, I thought I would post my experience with this code. I did a MFSW swap and after following the procedure to reset the steering angle sensor in 03-ABS Brakes, I was unable to clear the 00778 fault in the 44-Steeri ng Assist module. As a side note, be sure the sensor has not spun while the steering wheel was removed. If it is not reading 0 when pointing straight ahead, correct this first. To perform the G85 reset on my 2010 Tiguan S, I first attempted to follow the online procedure and failed. You do not need VCDS to perform the reset in module 44. With the vehicle started, straighten the wheel and hold straight for 5 seconds. Turn the wheel all the way left to full stop and hold until the instrument cluster beeps an error. Turn the wheel all the way right to full stop, and hold until the instrument cluster beeps an error. The steering wheel MIL should turn off immediately. Hope this helps someone in the future. For completeness, to adapt the brakes in 03, with the wheels pointed straight, connect to the module in 03, login with code 40168, click basic settings, enter 060, click GO, then click the ON/OFF/NEXT button at the top. #1 · May 29, 2016 For posterity, I thought I would post my experience with this code. cheers Buddy! #5 · May 30, 2016 from my personal experience you have 2 things: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Passat_(3C)_Steering_Assist#Steering_Limit_Stop_Adaptation http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Tiguan_(5N)_Brake_Electronics#Sensor_for_Steering_Angle_.28G85.29 and in the end of G85 explanation you have "Note: After successful basic setting, the Steering Limit Stop needs to be adapted too." I think you're mixing the 2 things and if next time you do this, you will only try to make the steering limit stop and it won't work, because only works after a successful G85 Insert Quotes Post Reply
