Cognac may make you think of a snifter by the fire on a cold winter night, but this French spirit's nuance and complexity lends itself to a lot more than a simple neat pour. The age old liquor—a type of grape-based brandy from the Cognac region of France—can found on some of the hottest cocktail lists around the country this season, from old school classics like the sidecar to fresh, modern tipples. If you're looking to shake things up on the home mixology front, we're rounded up some of the best cognac recipes for you to try at home.
