The following is a guide on how to replace the battery for the key FOB on a 2008-2010 Audi A3 Sportback. The key fob utilizes the CR2032 lithium battery. When you try to lock or unlock your car doors with the key FOB and they do not do so, then you need to replace your key FOB battery. See the troubleshooting page.

    • With the tip of a flat head screwdriver, insert it under the edge of the key fob and push against the back cover to pop it off.

    • Take caution as you apply force to open the cover as the flathead screwdriver is a sharp tool.
