Why You’ll Love Air Fryer Corn Dogs

  • Easy and fast! Making corn dogs in the oven takes way too long. In the air fryer, they’re ready in just 8 minutes.
  • A throwback favorite! Growing up, my sister and I would always get corn dogs at the mall from Hot Dog on a Stick. This air fryer version tastes just as good as the hot and crispy mall ones!
  • Great for snacking! Air fryer corn dogs are the perfect after-school snack. Kids love them (and, let’s be honest, adults do too).

Abby’s Recipe Tips & Tricks

  • Preheat your air fryer. Whenever I’m making frozen foods, I always preheat my air fryer. This gets those corn dogs extra crispy. Preheating also ensures the cook time works for you, regardless of the make or model of your air fryer.
  • No extra oil necessary. You really don’t need to spray any oil for these frozen corn dogs to get crispy, but you can if you’d like.
  • Be careful! These come out HOT. Like, really hot. You might want to use kitchen tongs to take them out of the air fryer. Make sure you let them cool for a little bit before that first delicious bite.

Why This Recipe Works

Preheating is key—in fact, it’s essential for getting frozen foods extra crispy in the air fryer.

This ensures your food starts cooking at the optimal high temperature as soon as you close the air fryer basket. It creates that crispy, delicious texture that we crave.

What to Serve with Air Fryer Corn Dogs

To really enjoy these air fryer corn dogs, you need the perfect sauce to pair them with! Whether you’re a classic ketchup kind of person or you prefer a unique sauce like fry sauce, or homemade cheese sauce, make sure you get your sauce ready while your corn dogs are in the air fryer. Personally, I love pairing these corn dogs with strawberry lemonade (yep, just like I would at Hot Dog on a Stick). You can also serve them with some baby carrots or french fries for the littles.
