All Unown Locations and Maps

There are 28 Unown forms to find hidden around the Hisui region, one for each letter of the alphabet and two punctuation marks, ! and ?. Decipher the notes found in your Pokedex for clues on their locations.

How to View Unown Notes and Rewards

Press Y While Viewing the Cover of Your Pokedex

After unlocking Unown Research Notes, you can view them at any time by pressing the Y Button while viewing the cover of your Pokedex.

When viewing your Unown notes, you will see several cryptic clues regarding the location of the each Unown form in the Hisui region. You will need to decipher the note in order to read the hint.

Q	Twin trees at the spring by the sea

Unown Appearing in Solaceon Ruins

After collecting all Unown forms, they will start spawning inside Solaceon Ruins in Crimson Mirelands. Various froms will spawn inside, as well as a chance of encountering Alpha and even Shiny Unowns.

Make sure to check the ruins after getting all Unown forms all over Hisui!

How to Unlock Unown Notes

Talk to Professor Laventon at Mirelands Camp

After entering the Mirelands Camp, Professor Laventon will call out to the player. When you talk to the Professor, he will tell you about an Unown following you from behind. Once the Unown leaves, the Professor will add Unown Research Notes to your Pokedex, which will unlock the side quest.

How to Catch Unown

Throw Wing Balls

Unown cannot be forced in a battle and must be caught by throwing Poke Balls.

It is recommended to catch Unown using Wing Balls instead of regular Poke Balls. Some Unown are located at hard-to-reach places, and the range of a regular Poke Ball cannot reach them.

You can also use Feather and Jet Balls once you unlock them.

How to Catch Pokemon

Save Balls by Riding on Sneasler

Some Unown will be located in walls and mountains where aiming Wing Balls might prove a bit difficult. You can ride on Sneasler once you unlock it and climb close to the Unown to catch it.

These will save you Balls as you do not need to aim from afar and keep throwing Balls until you catch Unown.

Make sure to utilize Sneasler once you unlock it to save on resources!
