Amazon Prime Day 2022: What Shoppers Should Know

SINGAPORE – Amazon’s annual Prime Day event - known as the "biggest global shopping event of the year" - is celebrated for its two days of epic deals and the best savings Amazon has to offer. In a surprising twist, Amazon is also organising Prime Day 2.0 this October.

In the year 2020, Amazon launched their first installment in Singapore with Amazon.sg, capturing new audience and a buying spree. The two-day shopping event gave Prime members the chance to shop deals and top products for the holiday season including toys, electronics, beauty, kitchen, home, baby products and more, from the comfort and safety of their homes.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2023

Traditionally, Amazon held its Prime Day in July, but in 2021, the event was launched in June as a result of the pandemic. Amazon has typically promoted its Prime Day on a Tuesday in the middle of the month. This year, Prime Day is to be held on 11 and 12 July 2023. However, expect early deals starting a week earlier.

Is Amazon Prime Day only for Prime members?

Prime Day is seen as Amazon's largest shopping event, even surpassing its Black Friday and Cyber Monday events. Last year, Prime Day's event churned out more than one million deals to Prime members online.
