Bollywood’s favourite ‘bhaijaan’, aka Salman Khan has a reputation that precedes him. On one hand, he’s known to have a big heart for the people he loves, and is also a big contributor in helping a lot of actors launch their career. On another hand, the man is blamed for anger issues and there have been various instances where other celebs have claimed that they had to face the wrath of his anger.

One such incident happened back in 2014 when he was hosting an award show and on the receiving end was Arijit Singh, who won an award for Tum Hi Ho and jokingly was asked by Salman ‘so gaye the kya”, to which he replied “kya karein aapne sula diya”. This conversation didn’t go down too well.

Later that night, Mithoon won the award for the best lyrics and he sided with Arijit, telling Salman that he’s probably sleeping because he’s been made to wait so much. Later, reportedly, Arijit’s songs were dropped from a few Salman movies.

His songs for Bharat and Sultan were scrapped off and while there were no obvious claims about who influenced this decision, a helpless Arijit posted an apology on Facebook, and that added a lot of fuel to the fire. The apology note claimed that Arijit was trying to repeatedly apologise to Salman and begged him to not delete his song from his film Sultan. He said he was sorry for his behaviour.

The note sparked a massive debate on social media because a lot of celebrities sided with Salman and believed he had no reason to strip anyone from working. Later, Arijit deleted the note and that further tarnished the empathy he was receiving from his fans.  It’s sad if it is true, and it is sadder if this was a farce. However, it did upset Arijit and Salman fans to no end.
