Even as the soulful track "Jag Ghoomeya" from Sultan continues to climb the charts, the controversy around it refuses to fade. The long issue between the film's lead actor Salman Khan and its original choice of singer Arijit Singh, got another nail in the coffin when Salman refused to recognise him!

He said this, not once but twice, when asked about his reaction to this matter. During the promotions of the film, Salman played down the issue around Arijit's public apology in his own peculiar way. He did not use direct words. But whatever he spoke resonated anger and displeasure.

"In every film there are lot of singers who sing and director and producer who make the choice of who is going to be the best voice for the film. One voice was mine but that was also rejected, so why get so upset and so hurt. This is life."

Arijit had recently posted an apology to Salman via Facebook, pleading him to retain a version of the particular song which he had sung in Sultan. Though he soon deleted the post, it had already created enough stir on the internet. He even tried to reach out to Salman at his residence, but in vein. According to reports, the song "Jag Ghoomeya" was initially recorded by the singer. But due to a matter between the two men, that dates back to three years, it was re-recorded in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's voice. Salman also crooned another version of it. Referring to Arijit as "smart", Salman had more to add.
