Kevin Sweeney, an 11-year-old Autistic child from Britain secured an IQ rank of 162 and has been invited to join Mensa, the prestigious high IQ society. He outranks some other well-known geniuses, like Stephen Hawking.

An 11-year-old, from Britain, has been invited to join Mensa, the prestigious high IQ society after he secured an IQ score of 162, outranking both Albert Einstein and Physicist Stephen Hawking, both of whom reportedly scored 160 on the test. The youngster, Kevin Sweeney's score has placed him among the top 1 percent in the world. The child, who is also Autistic, has always been bright according to his father. His parents also said that his biggest passion is music as he sings and plays a number of instruments. He took his IQ test at the Quaker Meeting House in Edinburgh on 16th July and he was the only child to take the test that day. His father while talking to a news agency stated, "He got the maximum score for someone his age. There were no other children at the test it was all adults. We thought he might get overwhelmed being with all adults, but he was just chatting away to everyone saying ‘hi, I'm Kevin’”.

Sweeney's proud father also said that he hopes the test score would boost his son's confidence as he handles life's challenges. He also stated that the family wants to help him maximise his potential and provide him with every opportunity.

The father said that the test result meant more to him (Kevin) that they had imagined, but his family wasn't surprised by the result claiming that he had memorised the entire periodic table by the time he was six years old and had started reading long before he started primary school.
