Or was she hung by a murdererIf she would have commited suicide she wouldn't tear her clothes like that, and her fingers seem damaged aswell, I doubt she was able to tie a rope with such fingers, and I also doubt she would damage her fingers like that when she was already hanging, unless she tried to escape Last edited by Dhaaaan; 30 Nov, 2017 @ 11:36am < > Showing 1-15 of 21 comments Lie Chen Zhou View Profile View Posts 5 Nov, 2017 @ 3:40am all will be answered in good times. #1 handala. she was probably clawing at the rope while choking in regretor maybe monika did it #2 Anezka de Astora View Profile View Posts 5 Nov, 2017 @ 4:33am If you complete the game it is explained. #3 Arpente Reves View Profile View Posts 5 Nov, 2017 @ 4:42am It's an accident. Monika tells you that, and we can believe that, with her damaged nails, that wsn't a suicide. #4 cheese View Profile View Posts 5 Nov, 2017 @ 5:01am she did suicide as for the bloody fingers and the torn-ish clothes it is because ofShe only kick the chair back and fall down when she hung herself , instead of jumping off the chair , which would have gave her a quick death. Because of this she was being choked by the noose, she then struggles to get off .This is because of either 1-it was an instict to do so or 2- she changed her mind (this 2 possibilities is confirmed by monika in her convos, but monika didn't say which was the real cause of her struggle). Also worth noticing that she was wearing her school uniform, she was about to go to school with the protagonist, some-what supporting that she changed her mind.so the bloody fingers and the torn clothes are because she struggles at her last moment Last edited by cheese; 5 Nov, 2017 @ 5:03am #5 merry newyearmas View Profile View Posts 5 Nov, 2017 @ 6:09am

Holy h*ck I had not even considered that. Perhaps Monika messed with her programming even more just before she was going to leave for school so that she would definitely commit suicide. #6 Polaric View Profile View Posts 5 Nov, 2017 @ 12:51pm Vaati where"s lore #7 cheese View Profile View Posts 6 Nov, 2017 @ 4:35am

monika did mess with Sayori’s coding yes , but only a little bit , she never intended for anybody to die , she only to try to make either the protag or the 3 girls to lose interest in each other. But (monika herself stated this) all of the 3 girls seem to ALWAYS like the protag despite everything, so she had to do some desperate measures. To further back up this theory, even Sayori tried to delete everything & have the protag for herself in the default ending when she got the ‘president of the club’s powers’.Pls forgive best girl Monika :) #8 Chewygamerz View Profile View Posts 6 Nov, 2017 @ 2:19pm I feel like it's pretty obvious that Monika mistakingly lead Sayori to suicide, proof being the "Traceback.txt" in the game files, where if you read it a little, you can see Monika saying something like "Oops, did I break something? Sorry! Let me try to fix this.... wait, I'll just delete her. That works out.". But that's just my thoughts. #9 Talithmara View Profile View Posts 6 Nov, 2017 @ 2:38pm Two observations.1) It was mentioned earlier that Sayori was dead in her school uniform. Upon looking again, that's not actually the case. I can accept discoloration due to the nature of the scene, absolutely, but giveaway was the pockets. A look at Natsuki's uniform (since she doesn't have lumps and shadows to obscure the look at the uniform) shows they don't have pockets. I think it's her PJs, myself.2) This is just a theory. Well, actually, a hypothesis, but details. I think I know what Monika said to Sayori. In act 2, things that are the direct results of Monika's meddling show as that black text, right? Well, I couldn't help but notice that there's times where things seem out of chracter without the black text. Such as, and this is an extreme example... Yuri telling Monika that killing herself would be beneficial to her mental health.I think that maybe some of these extreme conversations, like Yuri and Natsuki cursing at one another, weren't blacktext because they were already "in the code" in the form of things that Monika said to Sayori. Monika's meddling pushed those lines elsewhere. And we could even write off things like more personalized insults like "You're going to cut yourself on that edge" as error handlers to stop the game from crashing. I realize this last part is a stretch, but... hey, error handlers are a thing. Missingno in Pokemon R/B/Y was an error handler. The Chris Houlihan Room in LoZ:LttP was an error handler. So yeah. #10 Talithmara View Profile View Posts 6 Nov, 2017 @ 3:03pm @FlusteredI basically agree for the most part, but I had that thought and went "Wow, this is actually worth considering.I think what really made me go "... whoa, wait" was that I found a silly inconsistency in act 1 that was probably an honest mistake on the writer's part, but is fun to blame Monika for. Basically, if you write poems that Yuri/Natsuki hate and they refuse to read your poems anymore... talk to them first about the 3rd poem, then talk to the other one with a poem they don't love. They still did the Beach-themed poems, and the protagonist knows what the poem of the one who refused to show him was like. Again, probably a silly oversight, but it's fun to blame Monika and be all "Act 1 meddling confirmed!"So basically, when re-analyzing act 1 though the "could Monika have been meddling already" things like the Yuri/Natsuki fight stand out a bit, since Sayori says it's not usually like that, which got me thinking further.DDLC is a heck of a ride. I finished it weeks ago and I'm still proccessing it. #11 scams View Profile View Posts 6 Nov, 2017 @ 6:45pm So... what would've happened if Sayori and Yuri didn't kill themselves? I mean in the sense that, was this "VN" was supposed to actually show us the festival and everything beyond that, and the only reason we don't is because Monika keeps rewinding time? And does Monika rewind time because they aren't supposed to kill themselves and that would destroy the game, or is it her trying to be nice/"protect" the protag? #12 Laeradr View Profile View Posts 6 Nov, 2017 @ 7:23pm Hey, not adding anything to the thread tbh, but could creator please consider putting a caps spoiler in front of his title? I mean its pretty spoilery, at least imo :D'''''''' Last edited by Laeradr; 6 Nov, 2017 @ 7:26pm #13 scams View Profile View Posts 6 Nov, 2017 @ 7:38pm Thanks for the clarification, Flustered. #14 Magnus View Profile View Posts 29 Nov, 2017 @ 2:10pm GAME THEORY HELP US #15 < > Showing 1-15 of 21 comments Per page: 1530 50 Doki Doki Literature Club > General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 5 Nov, 2017 @ 3:39amPosts: 21 Discussions Rules and Guidelines Close
