Joined Aug 6, 2015 Messages 173 Topic. I am only able to secret a machete away for a weapon when i leave the underground vault in the legion camp, if I try to untie Benny he helps me kill Legion members, but I am overwhelmed pretty quickly with the power fists they have equiped (same thing happens if I give him a stealth boy and bobby pin). Is there any way to survive it and get him and me out? does Benny become a party member if I can get him out? or am I pretty much forced into killing him to live? Walpknut

Joined Dec 30, 2010 Messages 15,523 You can save him, but it will always turn the Legion hostile, if you aren't sneaky enough to get c-4 past the guards thebest you can do is just skip the formalities an just kill the guards at the Weather station before they take your weapons away again. You can then just kill Caesar and his praetorians, altho I would recommend setting a bunch of landmines on the entrance of the tent and lure them out of it so they eat them when they get out. Additionally, you should probably make sure to kill every Legionnaire in the camp before releasing Benny, because he will engage them in combat after you free him and he's not exactly a fearsome combatant. Soapstone

Joined Dec 30, 2010 Messages 15,523 Unfortunately he is one of the victims of the 18 month development time. There is a post-freeing encounter with him but it was cut out of the final game. Still there is a mod that adds it back in, and one that turns him into a companion after freeing him so you can try those out. Soapstone
