One of the family members told me to talk to Canyon Runner but he will not talk to me about letting them go. I looked on the Fallout wikia and apparently it is because I have completed the Ring a Ding Ding mission and the only way to talk to Canyon Runner about the family is to accept a mission from Caesar. But I don't want to do missions for Caesar. Is there a mod that will open up dialogue to talk to Canyon Runner about the family or am I just gonna have to swallow this Caesar flavored poison? < > Showing 1-6 of 6 comments Docsprock View Profile View Posts 18 Jan, 2017 @ 12:13pm Silently kill all the Legion in Cottonwood Cove. Then release the family. Kill Canyon Runner first. #1 JDC UK View Profile View Posts 18 Jan, 2017 @ 12:17pm I could be wrong, but I don't think the info on the wiki is correct.I've had a look at the conditions for Canyon Runner's dialogue, and Ring-a-Ding-Ding! doesn't appear to be related at all. Here are all of the conditions that are needed to ask him "Do you have any "captures" with the last name, "Weathers?".Greater than or equal to 1 GetQuestVariable VFreeformCottonwoodCove "Cottonwood Cove dialogue" [QUST:00130B8E] CapturesMentioned Not equal to 1 GetObjectiveCompleted vCCLeftMyHeart "Left My Heart" [QUST:00135F63] 010 Find Frank Weathers' Family. Equal to 1 GetObjectiveDisplayed vCCEyeforaneye "Eye for an Eye" [QUST:00134498] 010 Find general intel on Legion troop movement. Equal to 1 GetQuestRunning vCCLeftMyHeart "Left My Heart" [QUST:00135F63] Not equal to 1 GetQuestCompleted vCCLeftMyHeart "Left My Heart" [QUST:00135F63]I suspect the third condition is wrong. It doesn't make sense for it to be using objective 10 from "Eye for an Eye"' instead of the one from "Left My Heart".You could try using this console command to display the objective and see if that gets him talking.setobjectivedisplayed 134498 10 1You can hide it again by repeating the same command, but replacing the 1 at the end with a 0. #2 Belanos View Profile View Posts 18 Jan, 2017 @ 2:16pm

You don't necessarily have to do any missions for Caesar. Whatever he asks you to do at first also benefits you if you're going for a Mr. House win or an independent one. Possibly even the NCR, I'm not sure. So it's worth it just to go up to the Fort and listen to him, then do his first quest. Once that initial task is complete, you'll never have to bother with him again, except to crush his Legionnaires. And once you get back from the Fort, you'll be able to haggle with Canyon Runner for the family. #3 Dustin81 View Profile View Posts 18 Jan, 2017 @ 7:16pm Buying them=letting them go. #4 MonoChaos View Profile View Posts 19 Jan, 2017 @ 5:51am

Except I cannot. Like I said, the option for buy them off of him will not show up. #5 Belanos View Profile View Posts 19 Jan, 2017 @ 5:58am

You have to go to the Fort and talk to Caesar first. Once that's done and you come back to Cottonwood Cove you'll be able to make a deal with Canyon Runner, not before then. #6 < > Showing 1-6 of 6 comments Per page: 1530 50 Fallout: New Vegas > General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 18 Jan, 2017 @ 11:20amPosts: 6 Discussions Rules and Guidelines Close
