idainc I I had the CEL go on and the codes said to replace the oxygen sensor and the purge valve. Did the work and reset the CEL and I need a smog check soon. ITs been about 300 miles and 9 days and the OBD scanner is still showing: "No powertrain DTC's or freeze frame data..." meaning the ecm hasn't doen enough samples to allow for a smog check. About how long do you thin it may take for me to be emissions ready ? The CEL is still off and an impromptu off the record smog check shows its cleared. Thanks. This is an ECM issue now with the car doing just fine according to the shop's emission test. But the ECM wont allow a formal state (California) test until AFTER a certain period of time and or cycles and or miles. Was hoping to get guidance on just how much or long. Right now I'm in a drive up and hope its time mode. Arizona does not air ample and California does. #6 · Aug 13, 2016 And the DTC message finally disappeared after about 700 miles and the car passed the smog test. &00 miles was pretty remarkable somehow.
