CNPLaw LLP (“CNP”) acted for the majority founder-shareholders of Eagle Eye Centre Pte Ltd (“EEC”), the largest private ophthalmology chain in Singapore with presence in Singapore and Vietnam, in their divestment of a majority equity stake in EEC to Health Management International Pte Ltd (“HMI”), a growing regional private healthcare provider with presence in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and now, Vietnam.

The transaction was completed in December 2021 and marks the start of a partnership which strengthens HMI and EEC’s market positions, expansion and synergies in Southeast Asia.

CNP represented, among others, Dr. Julian Theng, Group Chairman and Medical Director of EEC, and Ms. Lee Ai Ling, Managing Director of EEC.

Ms. Lee Ai Ling praised the CNP legal team for their sound commercial advice, attention to details and steadfast support throughout the transaction. Ms. Lee added: “The sellers were really assured and comforted by the fact that the CNP team was always available whether via a phone call, a Zoom call or through WhatsApp messages.”
