I assume that these are also sexual in nature - as are most of the euphemisms. Anyone know? If the answer is too racy for this forum, I understand. wire-n-wood

Both can be short form for drugs as well.... Tea is often MJ. Edit to add: References -- I did undergrad/graduate work in English literature and critical theory, plus I own a coffee company. Turi

He was a coke fiend - Plus the Stereophonics are still Wonder Bread - only with a little peanut butter added. Turi

So he's saying he wakes up in the morning and has a little cocaine with his OJ? Is "juice" even juice anymore? Where does it end? Is he even really waking up in the morning? I know Bruce gets up late in the evening, maybe it's a thing. TwoTubMan

Oooh, Squeeze sang of 'Black Coffee in bed' I get it...so, sex with Nubian women ( or men) and they sang of 'pulling mussels from a shell'...little play on words there...mussel, pull....wot? nudge, nudge ,wink, wink...those Brit Rascals were having quite an orgy, to be sure. edit: I have a Masters in English Lit. but I don't own a mussel factory.:) Dasein

I wasn't interpreting his lyrics - just calling him a coke fiend. Who knows what Welshmen are saying. Nobody understands them in Wales even. Source: Went to Seaworld once. Dasein

I'd say that when they named the band Squeeze they were not talking about the effects of the economy. Turi
