These features can make your meetings and webinars searchable, actionable, and more productive, while also making them more accessible to participants who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Webex Assistant and automated closed captions for all paid-plans are available for 41.7 and later sites. These features are on an independent release schedule. Check status.webex.com/maintenance to see when it will be available on your site. Search for 'Closed Captions Available to all Paid Plans' and 'Webex Assistant Available to all Paid Plans.'

Webex Assistant

  • Webex Assistant is available for all paid Meetings plans. As a host, you can save meeting and event highlights and create actionable items. Refer back to these items on your Webex site and share them with people who couldn’t attend to your meeting, event, or webinar.

  • Use voice commands to automatically create meeting notes, highlights, and actionable items instead of doing it manually during your meeting, event, or webinar.

  • Webex Assistant is not available for Webex for Government or webcast view for attendees.

Automated closed captions

  • Webex remembers if you used automated closed captions in your previous meeting or webinar, and automatically turns them on for your next one.
  • As a host, if you need closed captions during your meeting, event, or webinar and are discussing highly confidential topics, you can show closed captions without creating post-meeting assets.

  • Anyone can turn on closed captions, with or without Webex Assistant. Closed captions will only appear to the participant who has turned them on.

  • Closed captions are available to all participants in meetings and webinars hosted by a user with a paid plan. Participants can turn on closed captions for their own use during a meeting, event, or webinar.

  • As a participant in a meeting or webinar, real-time translation or closed captions can help you understand what's being said. If the host has a real-time translation license, 13 spoken languages, including English, German, French, and Spanish, can be captioned into more than 100 other languages. See Show real-time translation and transcription in meetings and webinars for more details. Real-time translation isn't available for Webex for Government or for webcast view for attendees.
