Planned discontinuation of Smarty+ at the end of 2026 in the context of technological evolution

Creos, in collaboration with the Luxembourg electricity distribution network operators Ville de Diekirch, Ville d’Ettelbruck and SudStroum, announces the discontinuation of the Smarty+ dongle as of 31 December 2026. This decision is taken in the context of ongoing technological developments, marked by the deployment of new solutions providing broader access to energy consumption data, in particular through the Leneda data platform and equipment integrated into home energy management systems (HEMS).

For existing users, the dongle and the application will continue to operate normally until the end of 2026, with after-sales support ensured throughout this period. The collected data will also remain accessible until that date.
