Create A GIF With Transparent Background With Your CSP Images!

Hello!

This tip is a continuation of my tip: "Easily ANIMATE your EMOTE with keyframes!", so if you haven't read it, I recommend checking it out to know where to get the image sequence from.

You can also visit my video explaining this brief process:

Import Images

We will use the sequence of images we obtained from exporting our project in Clip Studio to open them in GIMP.

FILE -> OPEN AS LAYERS

Next, we select all the images that are part of the GIF and open them.

Tip: (hold down SHIFT and click on the first one, keep holding SHIFT and click on the last one, this way you can select a large number of files without dragging the cursor)

Export GIF

Once all images are loaded, you will see them on the right side of the program.

We can start exporting as a GIF in FILE -> EXPORT AS...

The following window will appear, where we can change the file name.

And it will be necessary to change the file type. Click on "Select File Type (By Extension)".

A list will appear, where you should find the GIF Image option, and click Export.

A window will appear:

In the GIF options, it will mention:

  • Interlace: You can activate it or not. This option allows you to preview a file before it fully loads, but it makes the file size larger. I recommend not using it.

  • GIF comment: It's not necessary, you can disable it.

  • As animation: Activate it to configure the GIF.

Animated GIF Options

  • Loop continuously: This will make your emote never stop, activate it.

  • Delay between frames when not specified: Use 40, it's the closest to how we work in Clip Studio, if you used 24 fps.

  • Frame disposal when not specified: Select "One frame per layer (replace)".

Leave the last two unselected, and export.

And that's it!

Author's Notes

Thanks for visiting my tip! I apologize if it was inconvenient that the GIF creation tutorial was separate from the animated emote creation tutorial.

Comments and feedback would help me a lot ❤
