They will lose their powers and their dark form upon the switch, but the weaknesses are rendered irrelevant too. Being cured does not have to be permanent, and the newly human Sim can ask to be turned or can be turned yourself if you switch control to a vampire with the Vampire Creation power.
First, a Sim needs to be maxed out at Level 15 of the Vampiric Lore skill. Note that the Sim who is getting cured does not need to be the same Sim who has maxed out Vampiric Lore. In fact, a human Sim can be the one who knows the recipe.
The time-consuming part with the drink is that it's expensive to make, both in terms of simoleons and ingredients. Unlike most food and drinks, you cannot simply spend extra cash for the ingredients; you are required to have everything on-hand (or at least in the fridge) to craft it. The following ingredients are required:
- §2,500
- 10 Garlic
- 10 Wolfsbane
- 10 Plasma Fruit
Luckily by the time you reach Vampiric Lore Level 15, you can purchase seeds for garlic, wolfsbane, and plasma fruit. All of them are easy to grow, and you're likely to have a decently high Gardening Skill just in the process of growing them. The plants can be grown indoors as well, but be warned: if a vampire does not have the Garlic Immunity Vampire Power, they will not be able to harvest the garlic.
Odd Note About Garlic
Whether by bug or design, there is a small exploit you can use if your vampire has Level 15 Vampiric Lore but not Garlic Immunity. A different Sim can harvest the garlic and put it in the fridge, and then the garlic can be dragged from the fridge to the vampire's personal inventory. Although vampires suffer if they are near garlic out in the world, the garlic stench cannot escape their pockets and does not affect them.
That said, realize that having the garlic in the vampire's personal inventory is unnecessary. As long as the garlic is in the vampire's fridge, they can make the drink themselves if they are carrying the rest of the ingredients.Any Sim can craft the drink assuming they've unlocked it; the recipe requires only a Level 1 Mixology Skill, meaning even a rookie bartender can make it well. Once made, any vampire can drink it, and it will instantly restore their humanity.
