    Meet with an advisor to review your degree plan before you register for classes in the new term. PHSC provides several ways to meet with an advisor. Join a virtual advising session or make an in-person appointment.

    • Dec. 15–Jan. 4 – PHSC closed due to Winter Break
    • Jan. 7 – Tuition and fees are due by 6 p.m.
    • Jan. 12 – Classes begin (Terms II and IIA)
    • Jan. 16 – Last day to drop classes (Terms II and IIA)

  • Financial Aid and Scholarships

    Need help paying for College? Learn more about grants, scholarships, student employment and loans to help pay college expenses on the financial aid website. Students may have the opportunity to receive funding each year and must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid application (FAFSA).

Helping Students in Need

PHSC's Bobcat Pantry is a donation-based service, free to students who need assistance in having their basic needs met. The pantry provides supplemental food and various hygiene products to ensure no student goes without. Students in need or individuals who would like to donate can complete the Bobcat Food Pantry Request Form or email [email protected].

Winter Break Closure

PHSC's Winter Break provides an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to rest, rejuvenate and spend quality time with family and friends! PHSC will be closed from Monday, December 15, 2025, through January 2, 2026.

ASC Tutors Wanted!

Join the Academic Success Center (ASC) Team at PHSC and be a tutor! The ASC is hiring new tutors across all campuses for the fall term. Get paid and help others! Students who get involved in campus activity are more likely to enjoy their college experience. Student Life and Leadership offers PHSC students more than 60 clubs and organizations in which to choose to participate. Plus, intercollegiate sports and numerous events are held throughout the year, both virtually and in-person. Students have a variety of options - from student government association and honor societies to chess, Cru, Flight! Club, human services, nursing clubs, Rotaract and many more!

Students, alumni, and community residents often turn to Career Services for effective job search strategies and advice on setting realistic career goals. These services also extend to assisting businesses with staffing needs while offering a variety of resources to help individuals with their short and long-term career goals, supported by PHSC Career Services.

Tutoring and Testing

Each campus provides the opportunity to schedule free tutoring sessions and a variety of tests at an Academic Success Center.

On each campus, there are also available Testing services.

Check out the Athletics website to learn about PHSC student athletes, game schedules and more. Boomer says, "It's not all about academics.
