You know what time it is: exploration time! First, talk to the man in the western half of the Pokémon Center. He’s willing to trade a
Steelix if you can find him a
Luvdisc . The man in the eastern half of the Center will recite a passage if you speak with him and can be tipped afterwards if you’re so inclined. After that; head back out into the street.
Head back south first to where you entered the city. Head into the house next to the black belt. Speak with the person in the north-east corner to receive a Whipped Dream . Head back outside. Interact with the small rock behind the house for another item. Now head back to the Pokémon Center.
You can check the house to the left of the Pokémon Center to find someone who massages Pokémon. Doing so will make them like you a little more so feel free to make use of it. Now head to the Bicycle Shop, to the right of the Pokémon Center.

The question is ‘do bikes come in different colours?’. The answer’s ’ Yes ‘, so give the correct answer and you’ll get your bike! You can choose whether you want a yellow or green one. Once you have it, head back outside.

Once you’re done; head outside and east, back onto the road. You’ll find a person there selling Soda Pop for $300. Feel free to buy some if you want to. You can then head into the clothes shop just north of the person. Have a look at clothes if you so desire; then leave once you’re ready. Head north-west to the next building.

Talking to the other person with him will grant you TM88 - Sleep Talk . Now head up the stairs to the next floor.
Talk to the woman near the entrance to the second floor and she’ll give you a Destiny Knot . Head to the last room on this floor to find Mr. Bonding once more. He’ll give you the Prize Money Power for speaking with him, then promptly leave.

#021: In A Knot With Destiny Knot**
The game sure loves to chuck items at you with little explanation of what they do. Worse, some have hidden functions, like the Destiny Knot item. Hardcore players will lap this item up as it secretly forces Pokemon to inherit 5 IVs from their parents instead of the usual 3. If that makes no sense, just remember not to chuck it away.

View Full-sizeYou can’t use Strength on the field just yet, but it can be used in battle.
Head back to the asphalt road and follow it around until you see a dirt path leading north off of it. Follow it. When you see the two benches to your right, go behind them and you’ll find a Super Potion . Now take out your Dowsing Machine and head onto the asphalt road north of you.

As you’re moving along it you’ll eventually be stopped by a person who will give you HM04 - Strength . This move lets you push the giant cubic boulders on the field, although you can’t use it until you beat the Cyllage City Gym leader.

You’re now free to challenge him whenever you wish to… inside his gym that is. Now follow the asphalt bike track all the way to the top. When you slide down the first part near the end, grab the X Sp. Atk .
Don’t slide to the bottom; but slide south back onto the bike track. Now head back south along the left of the two paths. When you see the dirt path coming off of the track, head onto it. Slide down to the item below, grabbing it to find that it’s a X Defense . Now head back around to where you just slid down and head east, to the gym entrance.

If you still need to train further, feel free to head north into Route 10 - Menhir Trail and explore it before hitting up the gym. If you want to, skip ahead to that section, otherwise onward to the gym!
