What time is Daredevil on Netflix?

Daredevil has a Netflix  release date and time of midnight California time on Friday, October 19.

Due to the time difference, this means that UK fans of the Marvel TV series will be able to watch Daredevil season three from 8am on October 19.

Season three of Daredevil will have 13 episodes, all of which will be available at once.

Seasons one and two of Daredevil are available to watch now on Netflix for those who want to catch up before the new series drops.

Also available on the streaming site is season one of The Defenders, which sees Matt Murdock/Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox) teaming up with the Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones).

What will happen in Daredevil season three?

Speaking to Express.co.uk, new Daredevil showrunner Erik Oleson said his aim with Daredevil season three was to: “Ground the show in a way that brought it back to something between season one and the Sopranos.”

The season begins directly after the events of The Defenders, in which an explosion leaves Matt close to death.

At the start of season three, he is recovering from his injuries in the convent that used to be his home under the watchful eye of Sister Maggie, a tough-talking nun who brings Matt back to good health.

Charlie Cox told Express.co.uk: “Matt is feeling utter hopelessness, underpinned by a feeling of betrayal from God.

“He thinks ‘Why would I be given these gifts that to me were God-given?’, to be given that and then for it to be taken away. He's suffering and confused.”

The season’s main antagonist will be Kingpin Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), who faces off against Daredevil despite being incarcerated.

Another possible antagonist is Agent Benjamin Poindexter (Wilson Bethel), an FBI sharpshooter who will become classic Daredevil villain Bullseye.

Oleson said: “I don’t want to give any spoilers but Bullseye is a lethal character.

“We are telling an origin story in season three where he is a character who starts out a functional member of society.

“He is an FBI sharpshooter somebody who uses his skill set to protect and serve innocent people.

“But he falls under the sway of a narcissistic tyrannical villain whose writing uses people’s fear to get into their heads and rise to power.”
