I think they are made in the far east and assembled in Germany. But that said, a Starplayer used in our band has a really good mix of tones though. Great rhythm guitars tending to the Gretch side of things. Worth a tryout.telepraise

They have their own sound going. The Starplayer has their proprietary p90 in the neck and humbucker in the bridge.richiek65

I have one of their tremolos on my Sheraton II. It's quality and ease of installation are amassing. The only thing I don't like about them is they tend to be too gaudy/blingy for my taste, but, having a lot of experience with Germany, that's understandable. Last edited: Oct 3, 2020bondoman

Mirr also builds for Reverend, Pure Salem and a few others. Pretty high end stuff with a price tag to match for the most part. Little extravagant for my tastes but to each their own I guess.brookdalebill

Obviously, I like them, a lot. It’s my understanding that they are made elsewhere (China, Japan, Korea?) and are assembled in Germany. The fit, finish, hardware, electronics are superlative, IMO. They are pricey new. Mine was/is $2000. I like every one I have played. They are long scale, and their trem/vibrato/whatever is the best and smoothest I have ever experienced. Restringing is a breeze, too. To quote my favorite wife, “What’s not to like?” Click to expand...dat case.... yum

If this axe speaks to you, the price seems reasonable and should hold value over time from what I've seen. Their P90 in the neck and humbucker in the bridge make for some very cool tones. Here's Greg Hilden demoing the Duesenberg 49er. Evert Zeevalkink also has some excellent videos playing Duesenbergs. His demo of the Duesenberg Paloma is especially well done. Best of luck.jhundt

He has several other pricey guitars, too. The Doozies are absolutely wonderful. I can't say where they are made, bondoman seems to be certain, so I suspect he is right. The thing about the Doozie is that every mechanical part, and pickups, etc has been inspired by a traditional design, and that traditional design has been reworked by German engineers, down to the very finest detail. All parts are of the highest quality design and manufacture. Just a beautiful package. Vviking
