As mentioned in this thread: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/other-guitars/274569-possible-p90-gas.html I've been gassing for something P90 equipped, with a Duesenberg 52 Senior being right at the top of my list. Does anyone know where these are actually made? I had wondered how they manage to build them in Germany and sell them at such reasonable prices, and then yesterday I found something about the woodwork being made in Korea and the guitars assembled i Hannover... Korea is not China, but I don't want a guitar built by kids in a sweat shop... Cheers Es http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/other-guitars/274569-possible-p90-gas.html cynic79

Some sources suggest that the bodies come from Korea, but whether that means unpainted wood or a finished body is unclear. This has been discussed ad nauseam at TGP, without any consensus being reached. Duesenberg Starplayer TV: Where's it made? [Archive] - The Gear Page The_Nuge

I had the same question. I had a Duesneberg Fullerton - great guitar, premium build where ever it's made. I asked their customer service and got a pretty indignant answer that the were in fact made in Hanover, however, I'm a little curious as to what portion. It's hard to explain, but it feels more like a high end Japan Gretsch than say a Boutique US guitar, but that's hardly any real evidence. Probably the nicest Bigsby style bridge I've ever touched. Great pickups. Really sweet tone. C

However, he has one as a "main guitar" along with a handful of PRS and Strats, so they can't be bad :thumb:. He also raised the question of whether the "cheap" Gibsons (Studio Tributes and such) are actually made in the US... Es C

Since 1991, Duesenberg is a brand for high quality electric string instruments located in Hannover, Germany. Duesenberg is part of Göldo Music GmbH and is widely known for their classic and destinctive Art Deco designs. By 2004, the company opened a new branch in Fullerton, California. Besides electric instruments such as their most successful model, the Starplayer TV, the company produces high end music equipment like analog effect pedals and amplifiers. Duesenbergs combine Korean-made woodwork with German assembly, while components come from various Far Eastern and German Sources According to one U.K. publication, this construction method "is intended to offer improved quality and increased individuality, but at more wallet-friendly figures.
