FAIRFIELD COUNTY CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING MOU FAIRFIELD COUNTY RECORDER LAUNCHES NEW ALERT SYSTEM TO HELP PREVENT NOTARY FRAUD IN OUR COMMUNITY The Fairfield County Recorder’s Office is proud to introduce a new fraud prevention tool designed to protect notaries and the community from the growing threat of notary-related document fraud. The Notary Fraud Alert (NFA) program is a free, easy-to-use service that allows notaries to monitor activity under their name and quickly detect signs of misuse. The 2026 general fund budget, which covers expenditures for daily operations of county services, was approved at $70.8 M, an approximate 5.4% decrease from the current budget.
